18th Century Antique County Maps

I was living in Cheshire at the time that I acquired my first antique map, that of Cheshire. I found it so fascinating that I started collecting antique maps of all of the counties that I have lived in in England & Wales. Almost by necessity, but more out of old fashioned romanticism, I ignore the current county borders and simply recognize the prevailing borders of the time. As you can see from the list my collection is not yet complete. Clicking on the map thumbnail will get a fuller sized map and eventually additional details.
